Applying to an AMPS School for the 2018-2019 School Year

We are now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year! All AMPS schools are public schools, free and open to all students. English language learners and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

AMPS Application Dates for 2018-2019

November 1, 2017: Student  Application Window Opens

 

November 1, 2017: Student Applications Available. Online and paper forms will be available.

 

February 16, 2018: Student Application Window Closes


February 17: Waiting List Period Begins
Students who apply after February 16, 2018 will be added to a waiting list if no space is available. 

 

February 23, 2018: Admission letters mailed out if a Lottery is not needed. 


March 5, 2018 - March 9, 2018: Student Lottery if needed. (TBD)

 
March 29, 2018: Parent Confirmation Deadline
Parents MUST confirm their child's/children's attendance no later than 4:00 pm.

AMPS Lottery Information for 2018-2019

AMPS OAKLAND SCHOOLS
 

AMPS Oakland schools will run a virtual lottery. Parents will be notified via of their status. You can also log into the 
SchoolMint system at any time to check your application status.  
 
Each school will host their own lottery and dates are to be announced.

AMPS RICHMOND SCHOOLS

 

AMPS Richmond sites will continue to run in-person lotteries. Lotteries will be held by school and parents are not required to attend. Dates are to be announced.

CHECK YOUR MAIL
 
All accepted students will receive an acceptance letter along with a student information packet by US mail. Parents must confirm student attendance by returning a signed acceptance letter together with a completed student information packet by a date to be announced.

 

Once items are submitted, your child will be enrolled and the AMPS school will offer multiple orientation meeting opportunities throughout the spring and summer for families to ask questions and get additional information about the school and program. Families are encouraged to attend one of the meetings that is convenient for their schedule.
